VIM

It has seemed to long since I have posted and just thought I would take the time now to go over what has been happening since then.

I have been using Gentoo still at work. But at home have decided to try Kubuntu 16.04. Mostly because Steam is build for Ubuntu and was not working for many of my games.

Also I wanted to note that I've been inspired by a few VIM plugins that I would like to share. I have been reading Drew Neil's book on "Practical VIM, Editing text at the speed of thought" He has some excellent videos on his vimcasts.org website that really goes into detail on some of these plugins, especially the Fugitive series.

Fugitive: by Tim Pope. Want to use git from within vim. Once you start using Fugitive you'll never go back to the terminal for your git commands.

Command-T: The fastest way to search for a file in your project. You'll never have to close vim now.

Ultisnips: Create your own snippets of vim code for common repetitive code that you end up typing way too often.

Vimwiki: Just discovered this one watching someones videos on how he uses vim as an IDE. I love it. Now I can create my own documentation and checklist that I need to use at work and get things done a whole lot faster.
